1. Types of Papers
Original Research Articles
Reports of original empirical studies (unpublished elsewhere except as abstracts). Negative/null results and replication studies are welcome.
- Length: 3000–6000 words
- Max: 25 double-spaced pages
- Figures/Tables: Up to 5 figures and 5 tables combined
Review Articles
Comprehensive discussions of previously published work. Should not include new empirical data.
- Length: 5000–9000 words
- References: 50–150
- Figures/Tables: Up to 5 figures and 5 tables combined
2. Manuscript Format & Structure
- Language: English
- Layout: Single-column, standard font
- Style: Use bold, italics, subscripts/superscripts as needed
- Section Numbering: Use up to three levels (e.g., 2.1, 2.1.1)
Suggested Structure (for Research Papers and Short Notes):
- Title Page
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Methodology
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Acknowledgements
- Competing Interests
- Authors’ Contributions
- Consent (if applicable)
- Ethical Approval (if applicable)
- References
- Figures and Tables (embedded within the text)
3. Title Page
Must include:
- Full title (no abbreviations)
- Author names with superscript letters linked to affiliations
- Full institutional addresses
- Corresponding author’s name, postal address, phone, and email
4. Abstract & Keywords
- Abstract: Maximum 300 words. Include purpose, methods, major findings, and conclusions. No references or undefined abbreviations.
- Keywords: 4–8 terms; avoid non-standard abbreviations.
5. Abbreviations
Define all non-standard abbreviations at first use in the text. Provide a list if many are used.
6. Introduction
Present the background, research problem, relevant literature, scope, and justification.
7. Methodology
Detail the study design, tools, and data analysis procedures.
- Figures and Tables must be inserted in the text and limited to 5 of each.
P-value Reporting
- Use: P = .05
- Avoid: P < .05, unless P < .001
- Always italicize and capitalize "P"
8. Conclusion
Briefly summarize the key findings and implications.
9. Acknowledgements
Recognize funding, technical help, or personal assistance.
10. Competing Interests
Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
11. Authors’ Contributions
Use wording like:
“Author A designed the study, conducted analysis, and wrote the first draft. Author B contributed to data collection and editing. All authors reviewed and approved the final manuscript.”
12. Ethical Approval (If applicable)
Mandatory for studies involving human or animal subjects. Provide ethical clearance number or institutional approval.
13. References
Use APA citation style throughout.
